About Max

For the last four years my main focus in life has been the academic pursuit of English. And trust me, I know how boring that sounds. But I'm proud to say that I have loved every second of it. Now that I have completed my degree, I am keen to channel all that learning and experience in a way which helps you! Some of my most rewarding academic moments in recent years haven't been my own accomplishments, but instead the accomplishments of others who have benefited from my teaching. So send me a message today, and we can begin working towards achieving your academic/literary goals. A bit about myself: As you may have guessed by now I am an avid reader. I devote countless hours to reading anything from fantasy to Russian classics. Outside of my reading hours I am a self-taught guitarist, producing my own music alongside playing in a band. People often ask which gives me more joy; reading or music; and I always say that the two complement each other, and therefore afford me equally tremendous amounts of joy. I am a young twenty-two year old male, having just finished university, but I feel incredibly fortunate to have found the things in life which give me the most personal reward. I'd be honoured to channel my enthusiasm into helping you ignite your own literary spark.

About the lesson

My lessons are built around sparking enthusiasm and rich ideas from the student. The most important thing I've found in achieving that, is finding what works for the students. Many tutors like to recycle the same old lesson plans and teaching methods; not me! During our first session, we will find and discuss what works best for you, and immediately set about applying it to your learning. Due to the tailored nature of the approach we'll take to your learning, you'll begin to see improvement at a rate which you'd never have thought possible while following formulaic lesson plans. But don't for one moment think this is a rogue approach. It is an approach I've developed over four years of tutoring experience, and over the course of that time I've experienced first-hand the variety of learning styles, providing me access to deep knowledge on what works for each person. Additionally, it has allowed me to collect a wealth of learning materials which we can go through together to find which ones best suit your style. But why are you still reading about it?
