About Ella

Hello! My name is Ella and I’m 18 years old currently studying Law.

I sat my Leaving Certificate just last June in 2025 and achieved a H1 in English, Politics & Society, and History, gaining a 99% overall grade in History with a 100% in my History project and 95% in my Politics.

I really took my time to map and plan my study routine to ensure I became my own safety net in the exam. My study made sure there were no surprises when I opened that paper in June and just got straight to writing!

My study was quite different from how I was originally taught material in the classroom and found it benefited me much more.

I hope to be able to provide what I learned to you and help you walk the path of that H1!

About the lesson

Hi! I’m Ella, I’m 18 years of age and completed my Leaving Certificate in 2025, achieving a H1 in English, History and Politics & Society. These are subjects I was able to gain a H1 in because a genuinely loved studying them and is why I was able to excel.

My approach to grinds is not from a teachers perspective, but from a students. I’ve been in the same shoes as 2026 LC students just a few months ago so I understand the pressure, confusion and what actually works when it comes to studying these subjects.

Getting a H1 especially in English isn’t just about knowing the material off by heart, that’s half the battle. It’s about understanding the exam papers, marking scheme and how to use them to your advantage.

I’ve independently developed my own way in which I chose to study and break down the material. I aim to share the personal notes I had taken and knowledge I’ve gained with students in a practical way.

I’d like to say I’ll be less of a tutor but your honest helper. My notes and advice will be direct and exam focused, no over complication. Just exactly what you need in order to achieve the h1 I did!
