About Sima

I'm a qualified English teacher with a CELTA certificate, a BA in Teaching English, and over four years of experience teaching teens and adults in multicultural settings. I'm also completing a Master of Education at Monash University, which strengthens both my academic knowledge and practical teaching skills. My lessons are student-centered, designed to fit your individual goals, level, and learning style. I specialize in IELTS preparation, English skills development, and pronunciation, and I bring my passion for phonetics and linguistics into every class to help learners gain clarity and confidence in communication. Professionalism, patience, and adaptability are at the core of my teaching. Whether you are preparing for exams, improving everyday communication, or deepening your understanding of English, I create supportive and engaging lessons that help you achieve lasting progress.

About the lesson

I take a student-centered approach to teaching, meaning lessons are always shaped around your goals, level, and learning style. I focus on making English practical and engaging, combining interactive activities with clear guidance. For IELTS preparation, I provide targeted strategies and practice across all four skills, while for general English I emphasize communication, confidence, and real-world use. I also integrate my passion for phonetics and linguistics to support clear pronunciation and deeper language awareness. A typical lesson runs for about 60 minutes, but I adapt the pace and structure depending on your needs. I work with teens and adults at a wide range of levels, from beginners building their foundation to advanced learners preparing for exams or academic study. I am a CELTA-qualified English teacher with a BA in Teaching English and over four years of teaching experience, currently completing a Master of Education at Monash University. My experience spans multicultural classrooms and online settings, and I have supported learners from many different backgrounds to achieve their goals.
