About Hugo
Hello! My name is Hugo, I am a qualified, experienced ESL teacher, whose motivation comes from helping students from all walks of life, communicate ideas and thoughts together. I love travelling around the world as I truly believe that travel broadens the mind, and helps in making you more satisfied with your life. I may be young in age and appearance but I feel like I am further beyond my years in my perception of the world. After all age is simply a number. I hope we can learn English together soon! I believe the most successful approach for one student can never be the most successful approach for any other student as we are all individuals, and have individual needs and goals. Working out how I can work best together with a student to help them reach these goals is of paramount importance to me.
I love communicating and discussing a wide range of topics, and I feel talking about something is one of the best ways towards personal growth and understanding of others.
I worked for 5 years in Vietnam, mostly in schools initially, primary, secondary and tertiary, then I started tutoring at the same time, with adult learners, and then after the covid pandemic eased travelrestrictions I returned home to London UK where I did more 1on1 tutoring and classes for SpeakUp! Language school in London.
I am more than happy teaching students across all ages and levels. Usually a lesson should be about an hour to allow a few different types of activities, Reading, Discussion, Grammar, Listening, Comprehension.
