About Aleena

I currently study at Redeemer Lutheran College, and am a Yr 12 Student Leader there. I bring a friendly and open-minded approach with a bright and positive attitude towards every student, no matter who they are. :) I speak English fluently, Sinhala and Italian at a conversational level, and I am currently learning Spanish and Portuguese. As a Grade 11 student leader, I have been excelling in Advanced English, Modern History, Debating and Biology, and I am always eager to share my knowledge with others. I have experience teaching kids in Church workshops as well as mentoring and leading students both in and outside of school. I am patient and dedicated, always making sure my students truly understand what I am teaching. I never give up easily and believe every student learns at their own pace and in their own way. I can teach students in grades 1–8 in areas such as basic English, elocution, public speaking, essay structures, creative writing, and even foundational knowledge in subjects like Modern History and Biology.

About the lesson

I am a friendly and patient tutor who believes learning should build both knowledge and confidence. One of my strongest skills is public speaking—I am confident and experienced in communicating with others, and I love helping students become more open, expressive, and happy when speaking in front of a group. My lessons run for about an hour and begin with a short activity to boost creativity and confidence. From there, I focus on the student’s needs, whether that’s basic English, essay writing, creative writing, elocution, or support in subjects like Modern History and Biology. I keep sessions interactive and practical so students stay engaged and enjoy the process. I am fluent in English and Sinhala, speak conversational Italian, and am learning Spanish and Portuguese. Lessons can be at your home, mine, or a convenient meeting spot.
