About Liam
Hello!
My name's Liam. I'm currently working towards my certificate to teach English as a foreign language, am completing my fourth year of psychology at university and currently work in disability support. I've found that I've felt most content when I'm helping other people to gain confidence in their skills and contentment within themselves. It brings me a great deal of pride and contentment when I am being a support to those around me, whether that was through the hospitality field I was employed in for 6+ years, or the disability sector I've been employed in for a little over 2 and a half years now.
I hope that together, we can create a dynamic instilled with learning, competency, and fun!

My approach to private tutoring is one that is communicative and student-centered. This means that the work that we will be doing together includes a strong focus on how you learn best, and what you would like to gain from the lessons. I will typically start with a review of your learning needs, and where you currently are at with your English level. The next lessons will then center around increasing your confidence surrounding areas you would like to improve on.
A typical lesson will last for an hour.
I am most comfortable teaching adult learners as this is where my experience is.
I have worked for the better part of 2 and a half years in disability support, and along the way have honed my skills in teaching to the level that someone is at, whilst also encouraging them to push past their current comfort levels. This is where the growth happens in learning.
I am nearly finished my 4th year of studies in psychology, and believe that this degree will also help me to better understand how to help you.
