About Kevin

Kevin Baloyi holds a Bachelor's Degree in Education from the University of South Africa (UNISA). He was one of the co-producers of the EdTech Summit Africa conferences. He is currently working at Redhill, an International School in Johannesburg, where he is responsible for supporting teachers with technology integration and teaching his own classes (EdTech and Design). Previously, Kevin worked at King David Victory Park Primary for 4 years. Previously, he was a student teacher at Mitchell House in Polokwane teaching English and IT. He joined the GTI Future Leaders Program in 2015 and was an intern teacher at LEAP Science and Maths School. Kevin was part of a select group of teachers-in-training who traveled to the U.S. in 2016 as a part of the Global Teachers Institute and Teach With Africa exchange program, studying schools and programs in California. Kevin is passionate about Education and Technology and has taught himself many technology strategies he incorporates into his teaching.

About the lesson

Student-centered learning, interactive discussions, and a combination of traditional and innovative teaching methods. I am fluent in English and I use it as the medium of instruction. I am an IT specialist and I use a lot of technology when teaching different subjects. For example, I will teach you how to write a short story using Scratch coding. My lessons are aimed at student who want to learn creatively.
