About Celestine

Dr. Celestine Tan graduated from the European International University, Paris, France, a QS 5-Star rated university with a Doctor of Education (Specialized in TESOL for Learners with Special Education Needs). She also holds a Master of Education (Specialized in Teaching English Language) from the University of Tasmania, Australia; an MBA from Anglia Ruskin University, UK; a BA (Hons) in Business Studies from the University of Derby, UK; and several professional Diplomas in TESOL, Primary Teaching, Child Psychology, Special Educational Needs and Disability. Since 2000, she has been teaching English Language, Humanities, Social Studies, Combined Science, and Math for the IB & IGCSE programs; and PSLE, IELTS, Cambridge KET/PET, WIDA, Duolingo, and SLATE for test/exam preparation. She was also formerly a preschool teacher trainer for KLC School of Education, training preschool teachers in the Diploma in ECCE, and TESOL teacher trainer for ISC Education Centre. Also, as an Adjunct Lecturer, she is lecturing with HWA International School in the IB programs; Kaplan Higher Educational Academy in the PBEP program; Aventis Graduate School in the Graduate Diploma in Special Needs & Inclusive Education and the Child Psychology programs; and Amity Global Institute in the MA in Education, and the Doctor of Education programs. In her teaching career, she values most the experience she has gained handling students with special education needs and disabilities. In her early years of teaching, she had taught students with Autism, Asperger's Syndrome, and Down Syndrome, especially at APSN Delta Senior School. Currently, she is still teaching several private students with Dyslexia, Dyscalculia, ADHD, mild Autism, Epilepsy, and Speech Disorder; adopting differentiated instruction and assessment.
