About Salma
Hi! My name is Salma.
I am from South Africa and have spoken english my entire life.
I am so excited to meet so many of you and assist you with whatever help you may need and hope you are just as excited to learn english in a way which is fun, dynamic but also constructive and educational.
I am currently 22 years old and from Pietermaritzburg which is in South Africa.
I went to Varisty College and I recently graduated this year with a Bachelor of Arts degree majoring in English and Psychology.
In August this year I received my 120 hour TEFL certificate which i found to be incredibly insightful and helpful.
I have a good understanding and background of classroom dynamics as well as working with children from the ages of 3 till 6 years old in particular as my mother runs a well established Montessori Pre-school thus spending
a lot of my time around children.
I love learning about different cultures as it find it incredibly interesting.
I am a well-planned, organised and reliant person so having prepared material for classes will not be an issue nor will being delayed or late.

I am proficient in english as it is my native language. I am a kind, patient and understanding person so I would love to work and engage with beginners in a way which is interactive and supportive. I strive to create an environment where students can have a voice in the classroom and participate actively in all conversations regardless of their level of confidence. What makes me unique is that my teaching style allows for students to have their voices heard which allows for participation as well as encourages them to communicate, thus not only improving their academic confidence but also improving their communicative skills.
