About Renato
I was born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, and began learning English at 12. I started teaching English after having been a foreign exchange student in Slovakia in 1993-1994. My first teaching job was in a local language school in 1995 at 18. I moved to Boston in 1997 and taught English at the Brazilian and American Language Institute from 1997 to 2001. I studied Sound Engineering Recording Arts from 1998 to 2001 and I graduated with an AS in Recording Arts. I moved back to São Paulo, taught English at British and American from 2001 to 2003, majored in English and Portuguese Teaching, Translation and Interpreting from 2002 to 2005 and graduated with my BA and Teaching License. I taught English at Alumni from 2003 to 2009 and got my SIT TEFL Certification in 2006. I then worked at Colegio Santo Americo in 2009-2011, Britannia in 2012, Cellep in 2012-2015, Cultura Inglesa in 2015, and Santo Americo in 2016. I moved to Miami in 2017 and became a licensed massage therapist, personal trainer and mobility coach while continuing teaching English independently online.
