I will work with students at their level to help them understand the concepts to help them accomplish similar problems in the future.
I would start with the basic format of what the question will look like, show examples of what we need to do and why, then go over any special cases that might be common mistakes.
I am very open to adapting how I teach to better suit who I am tutoring, whether that is restating how I'm explaining, or using visual aids such as pictures
