Engineering student at UCL with 4 years of experience - Maths tutor with Barnabas

I met Barnabas through our school's voluntary tutoring system where he had been working for one and a half year at that time. I reached out for help because my predicted Physics grade was an F and I had my Final exam coming at the end of the year. I thought nobody could help me and I was already getting familiar with the idea of resitting the exam in August. However, the help of Barnabas boosted my Physics grade so much I started to believe that I can pass the exam. That is exactly what happened. His fantastic way of teaching and the numerous real-life examples made it possible even for me to understand even some of the toughest materials discussed during the lessons.
I am extremely thankful for Barnabas for helping me, without him, I don't know how I would pass my exam and correct my grades.
He is just great.

I first met Barnabas at our school's camp, where we were organizing programs for around 120 students between 5th and 8th grade for a week. He is a friendly individual with whom everyone loves to spend time with.
Although we studied different subjects, I know he had great achievements in Hungarian national competitions in both Mathematics and Physics. Thus, whenever I had any problems with Maths, he was the first person I came to.
His teaching skills are extraordinary. He can follow the system of the original textbooks, but whenever another approach is needed for my deeper understanding he was willing to creatively come up with new, absurd examples from other fields. I believe, he has a great sense to recognize whether his tutees have truly understood the material and he is always eager to ensure this. I have seen him teaching both on one-on-one sessions and bigger classes excellently. His first few months at UCL showed that he has absolutely no problem with teaching in English (his 2nd language), whether it comes to the quadratic formula or partial integration.
He is great fun with amazing skills in tutoring.
