About Anirudh

I am an Electrical Engineering undergraduate at San Jose State University with a strong academic standing, and I bring both subject knowledge and genuine enthusiasm for teaching to every session. My tutoring background started with volunteer work helping elementary and middle school students with math and environmental science, and I have since expanded into one-on-one tutoring across a wide range of subjects and grade levels.

I am Wyzant-certified in multiple subjects including Algebra, Geometry, and Pre-Calculus, which reflects both my subject competency and my commitment to meeting a professional standard as a tutor. I take punctuality and clear communication seriously. Students and parents can expect me to show up ready and follow up when needed.

I understand that inviting a tutor into your learning journey is a matter of trust, and I don't take that lightly. My goal in every session is to make sure the student leaves feeling more confident and capable than when they arrived. I am patient and genuinely invested in each student's progress. I want to not only get the student through the material, but also make sure it actually sticks.

About the lesson

My approach to tutoring centers on building real understanding rather than just memorizing steps. I find that students who understand the "why" behind a concept retain it much longer, so that's always my starting point.

A typical lesson with me starts by checking in on where the student is and what's clicked or hasn't clicked since our last session. From there, we work through the concept together using examples that make sense to them personally, and I ask questions along the way to make sure understanding is building rather than just surface-level familiarity. I wrap up each session with a quick review of what we covered and a preview of what's coming next so the student always feels oriented.

What sets me apart is adaptability. I've worked with students ranging from elementary school all the way through college, and I adjust my tone and examples to fit each individual. Some students need more encouragement and a slower pace, while others want to be pushed and challenged. I'm comfortable with both.

My lessons are open to anyone from elementary school through early college, with a particular strength in math and science subjects. Whether you're struggling to keep up or just want someone who makes learning feel less intimidating, I'd love to work with you.
