About Syan
I am an engineering student at Imperial College London with a strong academic background and a genuine passion for mathematics. Studying engineering has deepened my analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, which I bring directly into my teaching. I am particularly enthusiastic about helping students develop efficient exam techniques, sharing practical tips and clever strategies that make even the most challenging maths exams manageable. My goal is not only to help students achieve top grades, but also to build their confidence and enjoyment of the subject by showing them how maths can be both logical and rewarding when approached in the right way.

I provide personalised maths tuition for A Level, GCSE, and 11+ students, tailoring each lesson to the individual’s strengths, gaps, and learning style. My approach focuses on building deep conceptual understanding rather than memorising procedures, using a range of methods and explanations to ensure topics are fully understood from multiple angles. I carefully select and adapt practice questions to reinforce learning, gradually increasing challenge to develop confidence and fluency. Lessons are structured yet engaging, incorporating interactive problem-solving and real exam-style questions so students not only master the content but also learn how to apply it effectively. The aim is to create a supportive, enjoyable environment where students feel motivated, challenged, and thoroughly prepared for success.
