About Andy

I have a degree in mechanical engineering and a minor in computer science. I have tutored students in several areas including leading all the engineering peer mentors at UBC who tutored and assisted engineering students. I have worked as a computational fluid dynamics researcher at UBC as well as a technical consultant at one of the big 4 consulting firms.

About the lesson

Having started my education in a Montessori school, I am a very hands-on, visual learner. I feel most people learn best this way; especially in STEM areas. I always try to teach in a way where the student truly understands what they are trying to learn rather than just memorizing the content.

I have one professor who has created many things and lives very humbly although he could easily monetize his products much more. I aspire to have that kind of mindset in everything I do.
