About Emily
So a little bit about me.....I am an adventurous, outgoing person who loves the outdoors, an elite lacrosse athlete, avid reader and sociable person who has a passion for helping others! Currently I am studying International Relations at Durham University, and did the International Baccalaureate Programme (IB) during Sixth Form where I did English, History, Geography at higher level and French, Biology and Maths at standard level. Fun fact!! I used to find humanity subjects super tricky but because of an incredible tutor I had when I was 16, I began to really enjoy humanity subjects and even now am looking to become a humanities teacher!!

I take a relaxed, friendly and personalised approach, as I believe that an engaging, fun environment helps to fuel students' confidence in their abilities and enjoy the subject more! I use a range of different, more unique, study techniques which are associated with your child's learning style (visual, auditory, kinaesthetic, verbal etc) which I shall determine in the first session to make sure that they have a tailored approach which suits them! I also try to make sure that my sessions link to their interests as analogies typically help students to understand a subject more easily! I love to take on feedback too to make sure that I am constantly improving my service and that your child is making sure that they are getting the most out of the session :)
