About Ravi

Hello, and welcome! My name is Ravi. I'm from Montreal, Canada, and graduated from McGill University with an engineering degree. I'm passionate about coding and education. My goal is to help you learn JavaScript and master the fundamentals so that you can learn coding with ease. In my current role, I'm a Technical Interviewer where I assess the JavaScript coding skills of candidates entering the advanced Immersive Program at our coding school.

About the lesson

There are two things I'll help you improve step-by-step:
1. Your JavaScript and problem-solving skills
2. Your Technical Communication skills. This is important especially if English is not your first language.

I'm friendly, patient, and have years of teaching experience. To help students, I use the following pattern: Give Clear Explanations, Teach with Examples, and Do Exercises.

Improving communication skills is critical for passing interviews and getting into large tech companies. Out of several candidates with similar technical skills, they eliminate candidates with weak communication skills.

We'll use techniques such as Pair Programming to level up your skills. This is especially effective if English is not your first language, and it's fun!

What sets me apart is that not only will I teach a topic, but we will do plenty of exercises together to reinforce the material so it will stick and become second nature.

I also LOVE doing public presentations! If you have a technical talk or presentation coming up, I can help you to make it a success. We can go over the material you are presenting, and also how to present it.
