About Stefano

My name is Stefano and I am an Energy Engineer with a passion for renewable energy and sustainable solutions. I have been working more than 5 years in the industry, working on technical due diligence and design.

I got a double Mater degree in energy engineering and management, issued by universites in Sweden and Portugal.

I have confronted myself with diferent cultures and ways to approach problems and studies. I am fluent in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian and I can teach in those languages.

I have experience as a Pedagogic Manager and High School Teacher in Guinea-Bissau, where I taught physics and mathematics to the last high school classes. I was responsible for end-of-term exams, organization and drawing up of the teaching program, assessment of the alignment of the teaching staff to the school's educational standards, and cultural understanding and adaptation.

I am excited to contribute young generation to better understand maths and physics and to achieve their academic goals.

About the lesson

Teaching method and techniques:
Given the student's background and expertise, I would use a problem-based approach that emphasizes the practical application of engineering concepts. This would involve using real-life examples and scenarios to illustrate the principles and theories being taught. Additionally, I would delve into the thoeory to dissect any passage that would cause confusion.

Typical lesson plan:
My lesson plans would involve a combination of theory and exercise-heavy content. Outside of teaching hours, I would provide the student with exercises and simulations that they could work through independently. During teaching hours, I would review and clarify any questions or issues that the student encountered during their exercises. Additionally, I would spend time revising and clarifying the theoretical concepts that underpin the exercises.

Each lesson plan would include the following components:

Introduction: I would start by introducing the topic and providing context on its relevance to engineering.
Learning objectives: I would clearly define the goals of the lesson and what the student is expected to learn.
Theory: I would provide a comprehensive overview of the theoretical concepts underpinning the topic.
Exercises: I would provide a set of exercises and simulations that the student could work through outside of teaching hours.
Revision and clarification: During teaching hours, I would spend time reviewing and clarifying any questions or issues that the student encountered during their exercises.
Assessment: I would assess the student's understanding and provide feedback on their performance.
