About Michael
When I was in school, my grades weren't where I wanted them until I found the right tutor, and applied the correct mindset and discipline to the subject. I was able to improve my average grades 20% in about six months, due to consistent effort. I say this, because I know how it feels to want to improve, and I know what it takes to actually make those improvements happen!
Additionally, I believe that we have something to learn from each individual, and transaction. I am looking forward to helping, because I, too, will have something to learn over the course of our time together. I hope that you will see my enthusiastic approach as inspiring, and assuring.

In my experience, schools always expected me to learn the same content in the same way as everyone else, which I always thought was bizarre, as what works for others does not necessarily always work for me. Together, we will understand the best way for you to approach the task of learning maths, in a way that will not be intimidating. Then, we will solidify your foundations, minimising margin for error in areas of comfortability, and then move on to bolstering troubling topics. The aim is to learn to understand how maths, and its' 'toolkit', can solve problems. We take this approach so we can apply maths to a myriad of problems, on paper and in the real world, instead of the confusing jumble of functions, rules, and scribbles that schools present it to us as.
In the past, I have tutored GCSE students with CoachBright Tutors, improving on their expected, and final, grades. We will start with 45 minute sessions, weekly, and adjust them based on progress, your needs and availability.
