About Alfredo

I am a very outgoing, fun, energetic, and sometimes goofy with comments and interaction with the student(s). Having taught for many many years, I like to develop a positive rapport with my students so that they are feeling welcoming and comfortable during each and every interaction with me. I like for the to feel free to make mistakes (and I want them too) and learn from each other to grow a better relationship, connection, and learning environment.

I am a teacher who likes to share my own personal connections to the learning so that it helps the students to also find a way to connect to outside the classroom. I believe that providing such opportunities to share will help us grow as we learn from each other. Although I can be laid back in some instances, I do like to keep the seriousness of learning and objectives clear so that the students and myself, do not get carried away with topics and subjects not related to what needs to me worked on.

Overall, I do try to make learning fun and engaging to help the student feel more confident after leaving my class, and that I what I hope to instill in my students as we move forward in the learning process.

About the lesson

I like to make lessons fun and engaging that allows the student to be more involved in the learning and applying needed skills beyond the classroom (critical thinking, application, synthesizing, creativity, analytical, etc.). I like to immerse the students in the topics that are being taught in hopes to gain a better understanding and appreciation for the subject being learned.
My lessons are designed to be of a higher standard and challenging so that the students can feel a greater appreciation to what they are learning. I like to keep the standards both in and out of the classroom high so that the learning keeps moving forward.
I also like to apply real world scenarios and examples to everything we learn so that a connection is made personally and/or metaphorically in some way, shape or form. I like to have the student(s) apply the knowledge outside the classroom to develop a deeper understanding as well.
