About Naomi

As a lifelong learner passionate about empowering others, I view education as a collaborative process of sharing diverse perspectives to cultivate greater understanding. For over 15 years, I have enriched learning experiences for students through thoughtful instruction, research, and community engagement. My background includes advanced degrees in Sociology, as well as honors for bringing complex social issues to life through interactive online discussions. Beyond the classroom, I actively promote inclusion through published works, ensuring all voices feel respected. I am proud to have authored two scholarly textbooks. In my most recent, "Implementing Success: Strategies for Effective Caregiving and Care Support," my co-author Schieloh Wolfe and I provided evidence-based guidance for caregivers nationwide. Previously, as sole author of "Social Problems and Silver Linings," I examined social issues through a strengths-based lens, highlighting community-driven solutions. Through an empowering framework, this text encouraged readers to address challenges creatively with empathy, participation, and presence of mind.
