About Amparo
Hello everyone. My name is Amparon I want to introduce myself and share a bit about my background and experiences.
As a bilingual individual, Spanish is my first language, and English is my second. Growing up in a bilingual environment has given me a deep understanding and appreciation for both languages and cultures.
I have a diverse professional background, starting with my education as a Medical Assistant (CCMA) from Fortis College in Smyrna, GA, and later pursuing a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from Continental University in Peru. These experiences have provided me with a unique perspective on healthcare, blending clinical expertise with a compassionate approach to patient care.
For the past five years, I've also worked as a healthcare interpreter, specializing in bridging language barriers in medical settings. My role involves translating from English to Spanish and vice versa, ensuring clear communication between healthcare providers and Spanish-speaking patients. This experience has honed my language skills and deepened my understanding of the nuances of medical terminology in both languages.
In addition to my work as an interpreter, I've also served as a Medical Assistant at Clinica de la Salud Hispana in Chamblee, where I assisted physicians with medical procedures, collected specimens for laboratory analysis, and maintained electronic health records. I've also worked at Clinica de la Salud Smyrna, where I focused on patient care, including taking vitals, preparing patients for procedures, and managing administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments and medical billing.
Now, as a new mother to a beautiful four-month-old baby girl, I've transitioned to working from home in the medical field, recognizing the importance of continuing to serve the Hispanic community and leveraging my bilingual skills to provide valuable support.
I'm passionate about education, healthcare, and community service, and I'm excited to share my knowledge and experiences with all of you today.
