About Anu

Hello! I am a recent Emory graduate, with a degree in Neuroscience on the pre-med track. I have taken a lot of courses, from biology, chemistry, physics, and more! During undergrad, I was part of a program that taught and assisted in K-12 schools, and taught kids math and language arts. I love working with children, and I have had my fair share of struggles in school before I found a study pattern that worked for me. I can help you succeed in any elementary, middle, or high school class you are taking.

I can also help you with the college admissions process! Getting into college may seem daunting and competitive, but I can help you edit essays and build a holistic resume to make you stand out among applicants.

About the lesson

I base each class on what the student needs help with. I expect them to notify me of the topic beforehand, and email any worksheets or class materials they would like help with. I like a hands-on approach, where I work with the student side-by-side to help them understand concepts. I also strive to make sure the student learns the problem-solving skills and concepts needed to work through their homework and test questions.
For college preparation and advice, I like to develop each student holistically. Colleges are looking for students with a balance of grades and extracurricular activities. I can help guide the student towards a better-looking resume, and help edit college essays to make them stand out. I want to understand what the students strengths and passions are, and help the student showcase these to the colleges they are applying to.
