About Sarah
Hi, I'm Sarah! I'm a friendly and outgoing Boston-based artist focusing on a Musical Theatre-style vocal technique. A graduate of Emerson College, I also completed a study abroad program and internship at The Boston Conservatory and Berklee College of Music in Valencia, Spain where I studied beneath Flamenco/Jazz artist Celia Mur and honed in on my personal vocal performance style. I love to sing, dance, act, and paint with watercolors! I'm originally a farm girl from Maine so I enjoy going back to my roots and teaching bluegrass and folk-style singing as well. I would be delighted to share my knowledge and love of the art of performance with you!

I enjoy teaching Musical Theatre-style singing and acting using Kristin Linklater's "Freeing the Natural Voice" technique. I specialize in teaching one-on-one voice and acting classes to levels K-12 but would be happy to extend my lessons to college-aged and adult students as well! A typical class with me consists of a vocal warm-up, vocal technique and theory study and rehearsal with piano assistance. I have a very easy-going and friendly teaching style and want my students to feel totally comfortable with the material they are studying. I give my students the freedom to choose the pieces they want to focus on and allow them to express themselves freely to help them hone in on their own unique performance style.
