About Alice
I was still at secondary school when I discovered public speaking by chance through the Fédération Francophone de Débat. I got really involved, and a year later I became vice-champion of France for high school debating in 2017.
After training, I became a trainer with the Fédération Francophone de Débat in the Graine d'Orateur programme, which aims to teach public speaking and eloquence in secondary schools for almost 2 years. ...
When I arrived at Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne to study history, I wanted to continue to democratise public speaking by joining Révolte-toi Sorbonne, a debate and eloquence association. This enabled me to work for 3 years with a variety of organisations and audiences, enriching my teaching methods (e.g. Lycée Lakanal, Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne, Université de Picardie Jules Verne, Maison de quartier de Clichy, Maison de quartier de Meudon la Forêt, Solidarité Nouvelle Face au Chômage, etc.).
At the same time, I continued to take part in eloquence competitions:
- 2020 : Winner of the Révolte-toi Sorbonne eloquence competition.
- 2019 : Winner of the Débat des Légendes competition
Semi-finalist in the Révolte-toi Sorbonne eloquence competition
Member of the jury for the eloquence competition at Université Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne

Public speaking doesn't come naturally to many people. Fortunately, public speaking can be learned and practised!
Public speaking combines what we call "substance" and "form". To be a good speaker, you need to be able to master both in order to captivate your audience and make irrefutable arguments.
If you have a specific objective in mind, such as a job interview, preparation for the baccalauréat or an oral presentation, we will work more on the content:
- how to construct your speech
- how to create an argument
- how to answer questions
These courses will be made up of 20% theory and 80% practice, with exercises to be worked on from one session to the next. Practice is essential because it enables you to understand and quickly correct your weaknesses.
If the aim is to gain confidence and improve oral expression in general, the course will focus more on form. This consists of three main pillars:
- Silence
- Eye contact
- Body language
Unlike the substantive exercises, the form will be worked on through improvisation exercises. Techniques for speaking loudly without straining the voice and for working on posture will also be used.
Sessions can be individual or group, but will always be personalised to enable rapid and effective improvement.
Organisation of sessions :
- Duration and frequency: 45min/1 hour per week (variable depending on the number of people, needs and feelings).
- Course :
- 1st session: assessment of level, needs, areas for improvement and development of a tailor-made programme.
- Other sessions: quick repeat of the previous session to check what has been learnt. 20 minutes theory on the day's line of work, 40 minutes practice.
