About Mia
Across nineteen years of teaching I have trained 960 students, many preparing seriously for demanding examinations, professional certification, or the most competitive academic placements available anywhere. My own fluency was built through rigorous, systematic study, and I firmly believe that discipline, not comfort, is what separates true fluency from casual familiarity. I am demanding and direct in every piece of feedback I give, because ambiguity wastes a student's limited preparation time before something important happens. Students working with me always know precisely where they stand, with detailed data tracking their exact progress over many months. I am not suited to a relaxed hobby class. I exist for genuine mastery.

My Spanish lessons are built on precision, not comfort, since soft encouragement without genuine rigour produces speakers who feel good but perform poorly under real assessment pressure. Every session opens with brutally honest assessment of the previous week's written work, identifying precisely what cost marks in grammar or structure without softening the feedback delivered. I correct immediately and directly when a structure is wrong, since delaying feedback lets bad habits calcify into permanent limitations for a serious student. Vocabulary is assigned strategically to target a student's weakest measurable area, never simply chosen for comfort or convenience alone. Mock oral and written exams under strict conditions occur frequently, since comfortable practice rarely predicts confident results under genuine exam pressure.
