About Vedika

I am a violin tutor with over 9 years of teaching experience and a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a violin emphasis. My background includes solo, chamber, and orchestral performance, which gives me a broad perspective on musicianship. I work closely with students to build strong stage presence and prepare effectively for auditions. Interpreting advanced repertoire is a key focus in my lessons, helping students understand the depth and emotion behind each piece. I have had the pleasure of coaching high school performers, conservatory students, and competition entrants, guiding them through every step of their musical journey. My teaching style is both structured and flexible, adapting to each student’s goals and challenges. I emphasise technical skill alongside musical expression to create well-rounded musicians. Preparing for auditions and competitions requires discipline and confidence, and I support my students in developing both. About the lesson

My teaching approach for violin is focused on building strong foundational skills while encouraging musical expression. I emphasise sight reading to help students quickly learn new music and become confident performers. Vibrato development is a key part of my lessons, adding warmth and emotion to the sound. I also integrate music theory to deepen understanding of how pieces are constructed and improve overall musicianship. String technique, including bow control and finger placement, is practised regularly to develop precision and ease. For students interested in contemporary styles, I help them explore popular music techniques and performance skills. Those drawn to classical singing accompaniment receive focused support in blending and phrasing with vocalists. Every lesson is adapted to the student’s goals and pace, making learning effective and enjoyable. I believe in creating a supportive environment where students feel motivated to grow. Together, we work on skills that build confidence and unlock each player’s unique musical voice. Whether aiming for stage performances or personal enjoyment, I guide students to excel and enjoy their violin journey.
