I work at VIPKID, teaching English in Beijing, China. I have worked at a variety of preschools in California and Pennsylvania for over 20 years. I have also provided piano and violin private lessons as well as reading lessons to children with special needs.

Greetings, my name is Tami. I am excited to be a part of this online opportunity to teach students from all over the world. I enjoy creating fun and interesting lessons in reading, writing and phonics. I have a Bachelor's degree in Elementary and Early Childhood Education. I believe that every child can learn and achieve academic goals and I strive to give the supports and encouragement needed for them to reach their potential. My approach is to target strengths and ways to improve through assessments and then build on prior knowledge. I am sensitive and respectful to cultural differences.
