About Andrew
I am an elementary teacher with over 5 years of experience. I have a love for literature and writing. My background is in history where I was required to write many essays for my education. I am an avid reader and love to be creative in my spare time as well. I hope to be able to share my passion for language and for learning with my students.

I believe in the daily practice and using children's interests to help facilitate a greater interest in reading and writing. I start with a bottom up methodology looking at grammar and morphology to assist children with independently exploring and as they begin to grow their literacy practice. Children will develop the tools to decode and understand new words independently and they will also be able to utilize proper punctuation and grammar to clarify meaning within their own writing. I am qualified and have taught children language skills as a teacher from kindergarten to grade 8.
