About Summer
Hello, my name is Summer. First and formost I am a teacher, I love to help young minds grow and explore things. It is my goal to help my students reach a better understanding of what they read which can help in many facets of daily life. Reading, not just reading but comprehenstion is the biggest part. If reading is only the first step but attaining fluency and comprehention is the key to understanding and growth.

I love to gamify the lesson, make it fun and engaging. I want to find a way to make my students fins a way to connect to the reading to help them have a better understanding in order to go from learning to read to reading to learn.
A simple lesson for me would be haveing to student pick the reading material so that they have a vested interst in it.
If my student is a middle schooler I will pick a reading that maybe they can relate to and have a deeper conversation about. I target students who are in upper elementary or in middle school, I will also work with the highschool students who need extra time and coaching.
