About Jack
I've been working with kids for over 20 years. As a Kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher, the most important thing I learned was that if students feel cared for, they'll surpass your expectations. My classrooms were always "controlled chaos", as I worked to tailor my kids' experiences to what would benefit them most. Being an assistant principal and principal were great experiences, but the years as an administrator have taken me too far from my true purpose of directly and positively impacting children. I'm so glad to be back doing what I do best... Looking forward to learning with you!

As a former Kindergarten and 2nd grade teacher, my reading lessons incorporate phonics, sight words, and comprehension... I'll take you from "learning to read" to "reading to learn"!
Math instruction includes both practice and theory. Developing number sense and being able to explain your thinking are critical in learning mathematical processes.
Want to learn piano? My interactive approach integrates theory and technique with beginner/intermediate performance. I love helping kids become musicians!
