About Emalye

Hi, and Welcome! My name is Emalye (Emily) and I’m an English Tutor based in Texas. I teach Reading, Literacy, Poetry, and English Literature. Although I am New Tutor, I can assure you as student you will receive my best effort in teaching you no matter what. As an education enthusiast and advocate, I believe you deserve to learn and you matter as a human! I have always been an avid lover of Literature and plan to be an English professor. So, with that being said, I can assure you that you will learn and will continue to want to learn after my lesson.

About the lesson

Learning starts with Confidence. A new subject can be daunting, but with the right tools and procedures, you can learn and memorize anything you out your mind to! I teach in a personal way, the kind that sticks with you and you associate it with something, someone or somewhere! Once confidence is built in a subject and memorization is coming easier and easier to the student, I typically quiz to see where the student is in regards to what we have previously learned and what we need to spend more time learning. After I feel the student can easily comprehend the lesson, has it memorized, and can recite information quickly, I believed they are finished. These methods will help lessons in the future by making it easier to understand the lesson and at a faster pace than before. My teaching methods set me apart form others because I value the student as an individual, and want to have them be able to experience the wonder of education and literacy and enjoy it as well. I typically provide lessons for K-5, as well as occasionally 6-8. Thank you for reading and best of luck with your path of education! :)
