About Alysha
I am a dedicated and experienced educator who is passionate about helping elementary students grow both academically and confidently. I bring a strong background in teaching and a deep understanding of how young children learn best, allowing me to tailor each lesson to meet individual needs.
I create a structured, supportive, and engaging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, taking risks, and celebrating their progress. I take a supportive, student-centered approach that helps children build both skills and confidence. I use engaging strategies like hands-on activities, games, and guided practice to make learning meaningful and enjoyable, while focusing on strong foundations in reading, writing, and math.
A typical lesson includes a quick warm-up, clear instruction on a target skill, guided and independent practice, and a short wrap-up to celebrate progress and reinforce learning. Each session is tailored to your child’s needs and pace.
What sets me apart is my ability to create a positive, low-pressure environment where students feel comfortable taking risks and growing. I also keep open communication with parents so you always know how your child is progressing and how to support them at home.
My tutoring is designed for elementary students (K–5), whether they need extra support, enrichment, or help building confidence and strong learning habits.
