About Arlo

With 10+ years of experience as an ESL tutor, I help students from school to college improve their English fluency, comprehension, and confidence. My teaching approach blends structure, creativity, and flexibility to make lessons engaging, interactive, and effective.

I focus on practical communication through multimedia, real-life scenarios, and hands-on exercises while emphasising confidence and accuracy. I also use innovative methods such as role-playing, storytelling, and task-based learning to ensure students retain and apply knowledge effectively.

Each lesson is tailored to the student’s learning style, pace, and goals, creating a motivating and personalised learning experience. My goal is to empower students to communicate confidently in all areas of life.

About the lesson

As an ESL tutor, my teaching approach is built on Accountability, Integrity, Flexibility, Communication, and Positivity. I believe that every student has unique strengths and learning styles, and my role is to guide them to achieve their full potential. I design lessons that are interactive, practical, and engaging, combining reading, writing, speaking, and listening exercises to build confidence and fluency.

I hold myself accountable for student progress, tracking performance and providing feedback that encourages growth. I operate with integrity, creating a safe and respectful environment where mistakes are treated as learning opportunities. Flexibility allows me to adapt lessons to students’ goals, whether preparing for exams, improving conversation skills, or mastering academic English. Communication is central—I ensure clarity, patience, and responsiveness in every interaction. Finally, I foster positivity, celebrating achievements and creating motivation for continuous learning.

Beyond ESL, I can also assist with related subjects, helping students strengthen language skills that support academic success. My ultimate goal is to make learning English an enjoyable and empowering experience.
