I pefer the bottom to top approach of teaching in any subject. Student must have a clear vision of goal. It must be clear to him that the concept which he is going to learn will have what kind of application, and why is it necessary for him to learn the concept. Then practicing a lot of solved problems with introducing the necessary concepts in between makes even boring subjects very interesting.
