About Steven
I am currently employed as a Compact Modeling Engineer at Wolfspeed Inc. (a semiconductor device company). My main role at the company is to devise a strategy to model new devices in order to characterize their performance in certain scenarios. The job requires great math and engineering skills along with the ability to automate processes using code.
I love animals! I have 2 dogs and 2 cats at home that are my world. They all have TONS of hair! So I often find myself pulling hair away from my mouth during the day. I also live at home with my wife and newborn son. So I have plenty to talk about if you love babies or animals! I have owned exotic pets in the past as well (Hedgehogs, Fish, Ferrets, etc.) I would love to hear about your furry friends!
I got a Bachelor's Degree from Coastal Carolina University in Physics (Minor in Math and Business Administration), and a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering from Clemson University (focus in Photonics and Applied Electromagnetics). That said, I LOVE math and physics. And I love trying to find reasons why certain topics make sense of cool things that happen in our ever-changing world!
I am also an athlete! I hold state championship titles in Baseball, Bowling, and Football. Of course when I was much younger. Now I just play pickup baseball in a league where I live. I still love taking ground balls and making web gems on the field!

I pride myself in making learning fun! You have to learn a topic, why not at least enjoy the process of learning it?!
I have 3 years of experience tutoring in multiple subjects from Physics to Engineering. The basis being mathematics. I am strong in topics ranging from algebra to multivariable calculus. As well as any other topics that may use these courses as a background.
