About James
I'm a graduate from Kwantlen Polytechnic University with a Bachelors of Music. I've been playing the electric bass for 15 years and the double bass for a bit less than that. I have played rock music, jazz, funk, classical, and been apart of pit bands for musicals. I enjoy all styles of music and enjoy hearing new music too.
I am currently in a band named Hydro Taxi, we are a three piece funky rock band. We have performed in downtown Vancouver many times and are also recording music.

I teach lessons that are enjoyable for the student. I personalize my lesson plans so they are suited to what you want to learn on the bass. Whether you just want to learn how to play new songs or are more interested in theory and reading music, I can help you out.
Whether you are just starting, or have been playing for a few years, we can begin from where you left off.
Let me know if you have any questions!
