About Kay
I am currently employed in my school district as a K-7 educational assistant and an early childhood educator. I am the program facilitator for the preschool and parent program. In this program I emphasize oral language skills. I am one of the first people they meet in the education system. It is my goal to help children with the building blocks of reading and writing. As an educational assistant I work with all the kids in the K-7 classrooms. I often work with neurodivergent children and children with learning disabilities. In the past I have done private tutoring for high school aged students. These students made major improvements in their studies. I tutor a variety of subjects including English, reading, writing, math, and science.

Kay has been working with youth for decades, in both a recreational and educational capacity - camp counselor, swim instructor, volleyball coach, drama teacher, educational assistant - the list goes on.
