About Jaachak

My name is Jaachak Gill, and I am currently working towards my Bachelor’s in Education with the goal of becoming a certified K–6 teacher. I am passionate about helping young learners build a strong academic foundation while developing confidence and a genuine love for learning. With a focus on personalized, one-on-one instruction, I adapt each lesson to suit the student’s unique needs, learning style, and pace. My approach combines clear explanations, interactive activities, and engaging challenges to make learning both effective and enjoyable. As an aspiring elementary school teacher, I am dedicated to creating a supportive and encouraging environment where every child can thrive.

About the lesson

Teaching methodology and techniques I use a step-by-step approach: start with hands-on, concrete examples, then move to pictures and visuals, and finish with abstract symbols and concepts. I model skills clearly, then guide the student before they work independently. Lessons are interactive, with frequent check-ins to adjust pacing and ensure understanding. I tailor every activity to the student’s level, interests, and goals, and make learning fun through games, real-life examples, and creative challenges. A typical lesson plan (45–60 minutes) Warm-Up (5 min): Quick review game or drill. Goal & Success Criteria (2 min): Clear “Today we will…” statement. Model (8–10 min): Demonstrate with examples and explain steps. Guided Practice (10–12 min): Work through problems together with prompts and feedback. Independent Practice (12–15 min): Student works alone; I observe and help as needed. Mastery Check (3–5 min): Short task to confirm understanding.
