About Izel

Hello! My name is Izel, and I am an Education student at North-West University. Teaching is not just a career path for me — it is a passion. I believe that every learner has the potential to succeed when guided with patience, encouragement, and the right learning tools. I have experience tutoring Afrikaans for learners of different ages and ability levels. My teaching style is friendly, structured, and supportive. I take care to explain concepts clearly and at the learner’s pace, helping them build confidence step by step. I enjoy creating lessons that are interesting, interactive, and tailored to each student’s needs, whether they require foundational support, exam preparation, or help with specific language skills. I am proficient in both Afrikaans and English, and can teach in either language. My goal is to help students feel comfortable and motivated, while also challenging them to grow and achieve their personal academic goals. About the lesson

I approach private tutoring with a patient, step-by-step method that focuses on building confidence and strong foundational understanding. My lessons are structured, friendly and adaptable — I adjust my teaching style to meet each learner’s needs, ensuring that every concept is explained clearly before moving forward. What makes me unique is my ability to create a calm, supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and learning at their own pace.

I am proficient in Afrikaans and English, and can teach in either language depending on the learner’s preference.

A typical lesson includes a short recap of previous work, interactive explanation of new content, guided examples, and practice activities. I encourage active participation and provide helpful feedback after each session to support ongoing growth.
