About Bushra
Choosing a tutor is an important decision. You want the very best for your child and the right tutor can harness their potential. I have worked with hundreds of students over the last decade. As a qualified English teacher I have an in-depth understanding of the National Curriculum. I trained at the world’s number one teacher training university, the prestigious Institute of Education in London. My mentors have described me as an ‘outstanding teacher who plans creative, engaging lessons and inspires students to achieve excellence’. Entrance Exams I have coached students to successfully complete Common Entrance Exams 7+, 8+, 11+ and 13+ for some of the most prestigious independent schools in London and across the UK. Many of my students also gain scholarships. I also coach students to build their confidence and eloquence in order to enhance their performance at interviews. I use a wide range of specialist resources and my own experience to coach students to success. Approach Students exceed expectations when they are taught how great their potential is, I apply Prof. Dweck’s Growth Mindset to build students' self-confidence. I have been successfully using this theory to plan my lessons for many years. Parents often tell me how much more enthusiastic, confident and engaged their child has become. I have a passion for literature and this is conveyed to all the students in my charge. Many of my GCSE students have gone on to study the subject at A-level. When meeting with a new student I assess their strengths, challenges and their learning style. I then create a bespoke learning plan. I use model answers, checklists and mastery marking to guide students to become independent learners.
