About Maxwell

Hi, I’m Maxwell, a dedicated tutor passionate about helping students achieve their academic goals. I am currently studying Economics and Politics at the University of Southampton. I studied Economics, Mathematics, and History at A-Level, achieving an A in A-Level Economics, developing strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. I also took GCSE Mathematics a year early, achieving an A, which deepened my understanding of mathematical concepts from an early stage. With experience tutoring A-Level Economics and GCSE Mathematics, I have helped students improve their grades, confidence, and problem-solving skills. My teaching approach is structured yet adaptable, ensuring lessons are tailored to each student's learning style. I use real-world examples, active problem-solving, and past paper practice to make complex topics easier to understand. I foster a supportive and engaging environment, encouraging students to ask questions and think independently. Whether you need exam preparation, coursework support, or general improvement, I am committed to helping you succeed. Let’s work together to build your knowledge and confidence!

About the lesson

My tutoring approach is highly personalised, adapting to each student’s learning style and academic goals. I focus on building a strong conceptual foundation using real-world examples, problem-solving exercises, discussions, and past paper practice to reinforce understanding and boost confidence. I create a supportive environment where students feel comfortable asking questions and developing independent thinking skills. Lessons are 60–90 minutes, with shorter sessions available for younger students or focused revision. Currently studying Economics and Politics at the University of Southampton, I take quantitative modules that strengthen my analytical and mathematical skills. I tutor A-Level Economics and GCSE Mathematics, helping students improve their grades and confidence through structured, engaging lessons. I offer lessons for GCSE and A-Level students, as well as university students needing coursework support. Whether for exam preparation or general improvement, I tailor my teaching to meet each student’s unique needs.
