About Peyton
My interest in economics developed from a desire to understand how the world functions on both a local and global scale. Over nine years of teaching, I have found great purpose in helping students grasp the connection between theory and reality. Watching them grow in awareness and confidence has been a powerful motivation throughout my career. I believe in creating a supportive learning environment where students feel comfortable expressing their opinions and asking questions. I adapt my methods to suit different learning styles and encourage open discussion. This approach ensures that students not only learn facts, but also develop strong critical thinking and communication skills. Beyond teaching, I continuously follow economic news, research global trends, and refine my methods. This allows me to bring updated, relevant information into the classroom. Economics is more than a subject to me — it is a lens through which the world can be understood, and I am passionate about helping students see through that lens with clarity.

Economics is the study of how choices are made under conditions of scarcity, and my lessons aim to turn abstract ideas into clear, practical knowledge. I begin by explaining fundamental concepts such as supply and demand, opportunity cost, and basic market forces in a simple and relatable way. By using everyday examples and current events, students are able to connect theory with real-life situations. This approach helps make the subject engaging and meaningful, not just theoretical.
As lessons progress, students are introduced to topics including production, inflation, unemployment, government policy, and international trade. We analyse graphs, case studies, and data sets together to develop strong interpretation and evaluation skills. I also assist with written responses and exam-style questions, guiding students on how to structure clear, logical answers. Practice and discussion play a major role in strengthening confidence and understanding.
For advanced learners, the focus is on deeper evaluation of economic systems, policy decisions, and global financial trends. Students are encouraged to think independently, challenge assumptions, and explore alternative viewpoints. My ultimate aim is to help students become informed, analytical thinkers who understand how economics shapes societies and individual lives every day.
