About Ria

Hi! I’m a final-year BSc Economics student at the University of Birmingham, and I’ve always had a passion for making complex ideas easy to understand. Throughout my academic journey, I’ve seen how intimidating subjects like Economics and Business can feel, especially when concepts are presented in an overly complicated way. That’s what inspired me to start teaching – I wanted to simplify these subjects and help others feel confident in their abilities.

Over the years, I’ve gained extensive experience tutoring GCSE and A-Level students in both Business and Economics. I’ve developed proven techniques to break down difficult concepts, improve exam performance, and build lasting confidence. Beyond just helping my students achieve better grades, I focus on helping them truly understand the material and see its relevance in real life.

My goal is to create a relaxed and supportive learning environment where you feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately succeeding. If you’re ready to take the stress out of studying and enjoy learning, I’m here to help you every step of the way!

About the lesson

Rather than rote memorisation, I emphasise understanding the 'why' and 'how' behind concepts in Economics and Business. This helps students develop a deeper appreciation of the subjects and equips them with the analytical skills needed to tackle challenging questions independently.
