About Poppy
I am looking to tutor alongside my PhD. I used to coach tennis and really enjoy teaching alongside my studies. I find that there are a lot of transferable skills - such as thinking on my feet and outside the box as it was likely that one way of teaching would suit a whole group of kids!
I am based in the North East. When I am not working, I am walking my dog, reading or at the gym.

I think the best way to approach the subject would be to begin with timelines and deadlines - is there an exam or homework?
If there is an area defined by the student, hopefully prior to the class but could be during, we can work on this specific thing. If not, worksheets and past papers are valuable at solving the weaker areas that need work!
Constant conversation and working together is key. Sometimes, saying what you need to do out loud cements something that writing on paper doesn't quite achieve.
