About Lyra

My teaching methodology for Singing combines Flexibility, Creativity, Understanding, and Time Management to create a positive and practical learning experience. Flexibility allows me to teach students in a way that fits their natural abilities. I adjust exercises, song choices, and techniques depending on their voice and goals. Creativity helps students stay inspired. I include simple harmony exercises, expressive drills, rhythm games, and improvisation activities that make learning engaging. Understanding is essential in my teaching. I listen carefully to each student’s concerns and guide them with patience. I create a safe environment where students feel free to try, learn, and improve. Time Management ensures every class has a clear purpose. Each lesson includes warm-ups, technique practice, song training, and reflection. This organised approach helps students grow consistently. Besides Singing, I also teach Ear Training, Music Theory, Rhythm Skills, and Basic Voice Development. My goal is to help students build confidence and enjoy Singing at every stage of their learning.

About the lesson

Have you ever struggled to hit the right note or convey emotion through your singing? My teaching methodology, guided by Motivation, Communication, Integrity, and Creativity (MCIC), transforms challenges into growth and confidence. I focus on motivation by helping students set goals, track their progress, and celebrate achievements. Communication ensures a safe, interactive environment where students can ask questions, share ideas, and receive constructive feedback to refine pitch, tone, phrasing, breath support, and expression. Integrity provides honest guidance, disciplined practice, and a respectful learning space. Creativity encourages students to experiment with styles, improvisation, and developing a unique voice. Lessons also cover music theory, rhythm, ear training, and stage presence for a holistic musical foundation. Each session is tailored to the student’s skill level, goals, and interests, combining structured exercises, guided practice, and performance activities. This methodology strengthens technical mastery, expressive performance, confidence, and stage presence while fostering a lifelong passion for music.
