About Julia
I began my dance journey at the age of four, training in Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) ballet, an internationally recognized examination board, and progressing through all the grades before completing my higher education in dance education with RAD as well.
Over the years, I expanded into various modern and contemporary dance styles, from hip hop to belly dance and beyond — experiences that shaped me into a versatile dancer and teacher across many genres.
My passion for teaching started early when I was recruited by the principal of my ballet school in Penang, Malaysia. From there, I continued coaching and performing modern dances, working with dancers from many backgrounds and disciplines.
I have traveled extensively, meeting dancers around the world and partnering with local studios to conduct workshops. These experiences taught me how dance connects people regardless of language, age, or background, and they continue to inspire how I teach today.
With over 20 years of experience as a dancer, certified teacher, and choreographer, I am committed to helping students grow with confidence, discipline, and joy — whether preparing for exams, performances, or simply dancing for personal enjoyment.
I believe dance should bring joy and freedom, supported by proper technique to ensure safe and steady progress!

In my classes, I focus on creating a positive, supportive learning experience for every student. Here’s what you can expect:
*For Adults*
Adult classes run 60–90 minutes, I am happy to design a program that suits your pace, interests, and lifestyle.
Lessons can be tailored to what you want to focus on — flexibility, strength and conditioning, technique, choreography, or simply dancing for fitness!
*For Children*
Kids’ classes are 45–60 minutes, keeping them engaged while giving enough time to learn and enjoy the lesson.
I keep classes fun, positive, and encouraging, ensuring young dancers feel safe and motivated. Parents will be regularly updated on their child’s progress and milestones so they feel fully involved in the learning journey.
*Choreography & Events*
I have choreographed for weddings, flash mobs, private events, and stage performances. Whether you’re preparing for a special occasion or simply want to explore performing, we can build the routine together step by step — focusing on musicality, confidence, and stage presence so you feel expressive and ready for the moment!
*Home Coaching *
I am happy to travel to your home for private coaching if preferred.
My goal is to create a supportive environment where every student feels inspired, capable, and excited to learn.
