About Oilivia

With extensive experience and a deep passion for teaching, I guide students to develop both technical skill and artistic expression on the piano. I hold Master’s degrees in Music, giving me a strong foundation in theory, performance, and pedagogy. I have taught learners of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced students preparing for exams, recitals, or competitions. My lessons are student-centered, tailored to each individual’s goals, abilities, and learning style. I use real-life examples and case studies to make rhythm, melody, and harmony understandable and relatable. Motivation is central, and I encourage students to set goals, track progress, and celebrate each achievement. Problem-solving is incorporated into lessons to develop critical thinking and independence. I teach with integrity, maintaining a safe, honest, and supportive environment where students feel confident to explore and learn from mistakes. I am highly flexible, adapting lessons to each student’s pace, skill level, and objectives. Alongside piano, I teach music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and composition for a complete musical education. I prepare students for exams, competitions, and performances while fostering creativity, confidence, and discipline. Lessons are available online or in-person for all ages. I focus on building technical proficiency, musical expression, and a lifelong love of music. Every lesson is motivating, enjoyable, and meaningful. My ultimate goal is to help students become confident, expressive, and passionate musicians.

About the lesson

My teaching methodology is designed to inspire students and help them grow as musicians while enjoying every moment of learning. I use real-life examples and case studies to make musical ideas practical and relatable. For example, I show how rhythm mirrors everyday patterns or how harmony is like a conversation between voices, helping students internalize musical concepts naturally. I focus on motivation, encouraging students to set clear goals, celebrate progress, and stay enthusiastic even when challenges arise. Problem-solving is integrated into each lesson, guiding students to think critically, find solutions independently, and develop resilience in both music and life. Integrity is central to my teaching, and I maintain a patient, honest, and supportive environment where students feel safe to express themselves and explore creatively.

I also apply flexibility by customizing lessons for each student’s pace, preferences, and objectives, whether for exam preparation, casual learning, or performance goals. Along with piano, I teach related subjects such as music theory, sight-reading, ear training, and basic composition. Lessons are available online or in-person and cater to children, teens, and adults. My aim is to nurture students who are not only skilled pianists but also confident, expressive, and passionate about music for life.
