About Amy
Hi! I’m Amy, a school Dux and H1 graduate from the University of Melbourne who genuinely loves learning, teaching and, importantly, having fun along the way! I’ve always been motivated to work hard academically, but I also believe the best learning happens when you can find a balance between study and enjoying life.
My own English journey is a great example. After my teacher told me to read more to improve my English, I took their advice, and somehow went from there to achieving Top in New Zealand for English Literature in Year 12! That advice sparked a love of reading that I still enjoy today. Outside of study, you’ll usually find me playing golf, volleyball or badminton, or enjoying a good book.
I’m passionate about helping students discover that learning doesn’t have to be boring or stressful. School is such an important and formative part of life, and I’d love to be part of your journey — helping you build confidence, reach your goals and maybe even have a little fun while doing it!

I believe tutoring should be fun, encouraging and never overwhelming. I take a patient, student-focused approach, adapting lessons to each student’s learning style while making sure they feel confident and enjoy the learning process.
Lessons combine interactive activities, targeted problem sets and essay prompts, followed by specific, constructive feedback to help students understand and improve. I have experience tutoring high school students in English, including reviewing essays and strengthening writing and communication skills.
I tutor students of all ages and abilities, particularly Years 7–12, from those building their foundations to high-achieving students aiming for top marks. Lessons can range from 30 minutes to 2 hours, tailored to each student’s needs and goals.
