About Jocasta

I am an Earth Science Graduate from Durham University now working as a Graduate Rural Surveyor and simultaneously completing a part-time Master's course.

Having achieved A* at both GCSE and A level Geography and full marks in both pieces of coursework, I know exactly what the exam boards are looking for. I have taught both groups and individual students ageing from 7-18 years old. I am passionate about Geography and the world around us and love inspiring my students to feel the same way about the subject.

About the lesson

I mainly provide tutoring for Geography. I can tutor the subject up to and including A Level. I can also provide help and advice for coursework and revision and study skills.

My lessons are tailored to the student's needs and goals. I always ensure that my student understands the topic and can recall it before moving on. Recall and application are especially important for exam years and this will be a focus for students in years 11 and 13. Lessons are typically 1-2 hours long but I am happy to adapt to the student's needs.

Please don't hesitate to contact me if you would like tutoring in another subject, I can provide tutoring for most subjects up to GCSE. I am also happy to tutor you while you study at university.
